Process

From inspiration, to choosing of marble, to artistic completion, the process is an organic one, different each and every time.

The concept for a piece usually starts with a rough sketch, often on a napkin, when the idea strikes. This is usually followed by wax or clay modeling at small scale, firming up form for the final execution in stone. Sean uses hammer and chisel to carve the rough shape and then refines until he achieves the shapes and textures he desires for a particular piece.

Inspiration

Sean's pieces are abstract, inspired most by organic forms and concepts found in nature. The end result is left for the viewer to interpret for themselves.
